About
Us
Julia Hayes is an experienced consultant in
inclusion and participation, with a background as an
Educational Psychologist, graphic facilitator and
teacher. She is passionate about finding creative
ways to include marginalised children and adults in
their local services and community, and supporting
the staff and parents/carers who make this
challenging task possible.
She was a children’s participation coordinator for
the UK charity Barnardo’s and combined her passions for
participation and inclusion to create her own
consultancy in 2007.
Based in Nottingham, she enjoys working with a range
of education, health & non-governmental organisations
across the UK and beyond. She advises international
organisations and has worked in Afghanistan, Moldova,
Colombia, Panamá, Perú, Nicaragua and Laos.
She is a trustee for the charity ‘Children of the
Andes’ (www.childrenoftheandes.org) that supports
vulnerable children in Colombia.
Associates who work with Julia have backgrounds as
psychologists, social workers, project managers and
graphic facilitators. They are all committed to making a
difference in the lives of vulnerable people,
particularly those considered ‘hard to reach’.
